Do you cater to special occasions?

Yes! We want to help you feel and look your best on your special day, with up-dos and any other sophisticated style you envision. We cater to any and all special occasions, such as First Holy Communion hairstyles, prom looks, graduation, bridal parties, a night on the town and many more occasions that call for head-turning hairstyles. For bridal parties, we are able to accommodate the bridge and up to ten guests.  Please contact us to set up a consultation today! We can also arrange venue/home visits and come to you to style your hair, and we even bring snacks!

What is the difference between single process color and highlights?

Single process color means new color is applied to the whole head, whereas highlights help accent your current shade. However, with highlights, a little more labor is involved. Partial highlights only cover part of the head, maybe around the face and front sides of the hair, while full highlights are placed all around the head. Full highlights also allow you to transition to lighter shades easier over time without bleaching.

What is a balayage?

A balayage is a highlighting technique using a free-handed application of color rather than foils. This creates a more natural and subtle, cascading gradation of a lighter shade in your hair towards the ends. A balayage starts away from the roots (as highlights usually start at the root) and puts the focus at the mid-shaft and ends of your hair.

Ombres are similar to balayage, however, the contrast and transition from dark to light is more drastic

Do you offer texture services?

We sure do! Perms have evolved in the last few decades, and we’re equipped to give you your desired hair texture. We offer various forms of perms, whether you want ringlets, waves, or straight strands, we can service the texture of your hair.

We offer Keratin treatments to help smooth frizz as well as achieve straighter hair. Please be sure to contact and consult with us ahead of time regarding a change in texture.

I want highlights, but just a couple. Can you do this?

Of course! If you’d like to add a pop of color here and there around your face, we can certainly do that to accent your hair.

Fun Facts

Washing hair removes excess sweat and oil, as well as unwanted products from the hair and scalp. Often hair is washed as part of a shower or bathing with shampoo, a specialized surfactant. Shampoos work by applying water and shampoo to the hair.
